As my brought up place I have a keen interest on this place. Actually Shyamnagar is famous for its Kalimandir situated near bank of Ganga; this called Brahmamayee Kali Temple. Except this temple this place has its many glorious stories to remind it always. To tour loving people this city can be a great day out spot to spend. About the town:



Shyamnagar is a city 30 km away from Kolkata under North 24 Parganas in West Bengal and under Barrackpore Sub-Divition ruled with 2 Police Stations- Jagaddal PS and Noapara PS, having areas under 2 Municipalities namely Garulia Municipality and Bhatpara Municipality.  This town is an industrial area as there are many factories, mills, offices like Exide Industries Limited, Nicco Corporation Limited - Cable Division, Ramsarup Industries Limited, Annapurna Cotton Mills, Gouri Shankar Jute Mills, Mulajore CESC Power Plant, Hindustan Lever - Dalda Division (Presently changed the name) and many more.



This town has a population over approx 500,000.The factories and mills illustrates in a huge labor force from the adjacent states of Bihar and Orissa, with eastern Uttar Pradesh, regularly figuring an crushing majority of the populace in this area.

History of the Town:

All through the ruling of Kirshna nagar’s king Raja Krishna Chandra, he offered the village named MULAJORE with the designate of ROY GUNAKAR to his courtyard poet Bharat Chandra Roy.

Gopimohan had two sons Prsanna Kumar and Harakumar and daughter Brahmamoyee.
